This is a thorough grounding in using sandplay with children, adolescents and adults taught in a small group of no more than 8 over five weekends during an academic year. It will include exploring the theory and development of Integrative Sandplay which includes object relations, Jungian, transpersonal, gestalt and person-centred techniques.We will also relate sand to the latest trauma research. The teacher Jill Carter is a UKCP Child, Adolescent, Family and Adult Psychotherapist, with fifteen years experience of working with sandplay and art. There will be some self and group process as part of this course.

There will be lots of practical support for working in schools, counselling services or private practice.  All materials are provided, as are refreshments and a hot vegetarian lunch. 10:00-17:00 both days. Venue to be confirmed nearer the time but will be in the West London area.

The cost of the course is £1680, payable in five instalments, one before each module. A £50 deposit guarantees a place. Contact Jill Carter for more details/booking form.

There is no written work, but we require you to do 50 client hours which include sand and attend 6 supervision sessions with an AIST approved supervisor. The course can be used as UKCP or BACP CPD hours.
